Construction Law involves various legal issues arising out of the construction of commercial and residential buildings. It includes questions involving whether a building has been built according to plans, or in a workmanlike manner, and whether it was completed within the time frame specified. There also may be questions regarding the payment of contractors and sub-contractors. Many construction projects have surety bonds. See Bond and Suretyship Litigation. Construction Law also involves the question of responsibility for injury on the job suffered by an employee of a contractor or subcontractor.
