Employment Law concerns the rights and duties between employers and current or former employees. It includes issues relating to proper compensation pursuant to wage and hour laws (such as the Fair Labor Standards Act), whether actions taken by an employer constitute discrimination under Federal, State and Local laws (for example the Civil Rights Act of 1964), drafting and enforcement of non-compete and non-solicitation agreements, protection of trade secrets from misappropriation by current and former employees and restrictions on work by minors pursuant to child labor laws.
